Funeral services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home, with the visitation on Thursday, May 20th from 4-6pm; funeral on Friday, May 21st at 10am, followed by burial.
Eulalah was born on February 20, 1920 in Pleasant Gap, MO to Adolph and Cora Durst. She worked for Lake City Ammunition during WWII, TWA, and then retired from the Kansas City School Board. After retirement she worked at Maple Valley State School for the Severely Handicapped. She was a loving mother and grandmother, always smiling and happy. If you asked her how she was, she would always say “fine” as she would never complain or let anyone know she hurt, even in her last days of life. Her hobbies included numerous crafts, especially her plastic canvas sewing, which she was still doing in her later years. Church was also a very important part of her life at Fairview Christian Church where she attended and taught bible study groups.
Eulalah is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Asa Junior Pickinpaugh; son, Dennis Dean Pickinpaugh; son-in-law, David O. Baker; and sisters, Maxine Williams and Wanda Louk. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Jeanette Mize (Carl), Karen Griffin (Mike) and Linda Baker; daughter-in-law, Vicki Pickinpaugh; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fairview Christian Church (1800 NE 65th St, Kansas City, MO 64118).
