Zachary Durand, 20, of Kansas City, Missouri died at home after a long and courageous battle with Ewing's Sarcoma on March 4, 2015. He was born March 18, 1994 in Kansas City. He was the loving son of William and Angela (Crowder) Durand, cherished grandson of Jack and Kay Crowder and the late William and Frances Durand. He is the dear nephew of Melinda (Roy) St. Clair, Gina Elledge and Brian (Karin) Crowder; beloved cousin of Megan, Dustin, Lauree, Brianna, Jacob, Riley, Ryder and Landon. He was loved by his extended family and a multitude of friends.
Zach was a good student, he was part of “The Originals” at Staley High School, graduating in 2012. He completed the A+ program, was a natural athlete and gamer; he enjoyed playing baseball, disc golf and bowling; he was also ranked in the top 100 in the world of X-Box. Most of all he enjoyed his time with family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 11 AM until time of Service at 2 PM at Gashland Baptist Church, 601 NE Barry Rd. Kansas City, MO 64155. Interment will be at Terrace Park Funeral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Zachary Durand Memorial Fund C/O Community America Credit Union, 9310 N. Oak Tfwy.
