Winferd Walter Graves, Jr. passed away peacefully on February 1, 2012 at home. Walt bravely battled pulmonary fibrosis for almost 3 years with dignity, humor, and the love and support of family and friends. Walt was born March 3, 1939 in Fairfax, Missouri. He graduated from Northeast High School and the University of Missouri, later receiving his master's degree in industrial safety. Walt retired from NKC Schools, after teaching industrial arts for 37 years. He loved his family, traveling, and woodworking.He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marilyn; 2 daughters, Jill Dwyer and Corrie Tice (Bill); 4 grandchildren, Ethan and Finnegan Dwyer and Lillian and Liam Walter Tice; his siblings, Bill Graves (Cheech), Chris Yeoman (Gary), Kenny Graves (Martha), and Roger Graves (Brenda).Memorial service is 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5 at Mount Moriah Terrace Park.
