William “Bill” Joseph Brehm, 92, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2019 at Parkway Senior Living. He was born on December 15, 1926 in Delaware, OH, to Carl J & Hilda G. (Wood) Brehm.
Bill enlisted in the Navy for 2 years, then enlisted into the Air Force and retired after 21 years at Goose Bay Labrador in 1968 as a Master Sargent. He served tours in Germany, Holland, France, England, Kenya, Italy, Brussels and Denmark. Moving to Missouri, he continued working for Whitaker Cable in Excelsior Springs, MO then onto Montgomery Wards as a security officer in Kansas City, MO.
Bill was preceded in passing by his parents; his wife, Eleanor “Irene” (Wilson) Brehm in 1981; three sons, William Dana in 1977, Wayne David in 1958 and Wade Daniel in 1979; two grandchildren, Kandace Flinn in 2001 and Timothy Brehm in 2014; one great-grandchild, Taylor Mefford in 2016; Brothers, Jack in 1982, Robert (Bob) in 2015; one sister, Marlene Foos in 2014; one niece, Sandra Brehm; and nephew, James Nye. He is survived by one son, Warren (Laray) Brehm of Center, MO; three daughters, Ruth (Greg) Hobbs, Kilgore, NE, Rae Flinn of Maysville, MO , Rhonda (Dennis) Earp of Kansas City, MO; Brothers Pat (Francine) of Catawissa, PA and Chuck (Ollie) of Marceline, MO; sisters, Patty (Homer) Freeman of Lufkin, TX and Rita Gardner of Port Charlotte, FL; brother-in-law, Del Foos; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 22 nieces and nephews.
