William “Dale” Smith, 79, of Smithville, Mo passed away December 3, 2015. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Monday December 7th at Grace Community Church, 1520 County Rd DD, Smithville, Mo. Visitation will precede services 12:00 – 1:30 pm. Burial will be private at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Dales favorite ministry, the building fund at Grace Community Church.
Dale was a proud Army veteran. He married Daisy Berry on December 30, 1961 at Linden Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Kenton Auto Glass in the Kansas City area for over 25 years. He was a charter member of Grace Community Church, where he served as Treasurer. Dale truly enjoyed spending time with his family, and bowling. He was a big sports fan that enjoyed watching golf, football, and his Kansas City Royals win the World Series. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Todd Andrew Smith, a brother, Lawrence, 3 sisters, Willa, Dorothy and Estella. Survivors include his wife Daisy Smith, daughters, Sherry (Jayson) Person, Tracy (Russell) Rogers, brother, Merle Smith, sister, Mary Sponaugle, and 2 grandsons, Zack and Josh Person.
