William Hine

William B. Hine Sr.  84, of Kansas City, MO, died at home on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. He was born March 20, 1934 in Carrier Mills, Illinois to the late Frank and Ethel (Burris) Hine.

Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he worked for General Motors for 35 years before retiring; working his way up from the assembly line to being the General Manager. He was an avid reader and was quick with a joke or one-liner in almost every situation.  He also served as a Deacon at Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joanne; daughter Lisi (Andy) Curiale, grandchildren Maria (Gary) Curiale -Sapp and Anthony Curiale, and sister Betty Hine.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his son William Hine Jr.
