William C. "Bill" Boggs, 91, passed away on the 20th of December, 2011. He suffered a massive brain clot after a fall and never recovered. He grew up on a farm in Winner, South Dakota. He graduated from Aeronautical School in Lincoln, Nebraska and was then stationed at a primary flight training school in Chickaska, Oklahoma during World War II. He came to Kansas City to work for Trans World Airline where he worked for 37 years before he retired.Bill was a member of the North Kansas City United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Winner Lodge for 70 years and a member of Alpha Lodge in North Kansas City, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Ararat Temple where he was a past President of the Guides Flag Marching Unit.He leaves his wife of 69 years, Helen, of the home, his son, James D. "Jim" Boggs and his wife, Pam. He leaves a grandson, Christian and granddaughter, Meghan Patti and her husband, Tony, and their son and Bill's great-grandson, Mason. He leaves his step-grandchildren, Paxton and Payton Toy.Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 26 at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be given to Vitas Hospice, 4041 S.
