Warren Webster

January 2, 1921 — April 30, 2017

Warren Leroy Webster, 96, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the North Care Hospice House, in North Kansas City. He was born January 2, 1921, to Roy Ellis and Irene Sutter Webster, in Oronogo, MO. He joined the Army during World War II until his Honorable discharge in 1943. He worked as a machinist for the American Can Company, and retired from the Kansas City Star Newspaper. He was a member of the Farley, MO Mason Lodge. An award he was very proud of was a Gold Veteran’s Badge, by the Grand Lodge of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers for 70 years of exemplifying true value to fellow workers, earning lasting respect and esteem. Warren was a Foster parent for over 76 foster children from 1980 to 2005. During his free time he loved to go on cruises, and metal detect finding many Civil War artifacts. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, Christmas and Easter were his favorite holidays with the family. He was a member of the Faubion United Methodist Church.

Warren was preceded in death by both parents, his two wives; Irene McNeece Webster wife of 20 years, passed away September 11,1972, and his second wife Marie Lombardo Webster passed away July 12, 2006 , and his siblings; brother George and sisters; Mildred LeGrand, Doris Mayfield, and Fern Shelley.

Surviving are his three children; Ellis (Linda) Webster, of Kansas City, MO, Teena (Richard) Kirkendoll, of Lenexa, KS, and Eddy (Jenice) Webster, of Kansas City, MO, eight grandchildren; Charley, Tony, Andy, Eric, and Clay Webster, Ryan, Bethany, and Sarah Mathes, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 10:00 AM with Funeral Services immediately following at 11:00 AM at Terrace Park Lakeside Chapel; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions go to Foster Adopt Connect. Share online condolences at TerraceParkFuneral.com.
