Wanda Mae Weisz, 90, passed away on February 3, 2024.
Wanda was born on June 30, 1933 to Thomas and Eva Moulder. She grew up in Clinton, Missouri where she graduated high school. She met the love of her life, Delmer Weisz, and they were married and blessed with two children. Wanda took great pride in being a devoted homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. She embraced a life filled with purpose, participating in various groups and volunteer activities. Her contributions included membership in a gardening club, 15 years of volunteer service at St. Luke's Hospital, and volunteering alongside Delmer at Hillcrest Thrift Store. Beyond these endeavors, Wanda expressed her creativity through beautiful oil paintings and singing in church choir for decades. A woman of strong faith, Wanda, along with Delmer, instilled the importance of faith in their family. They were proud members of Platte Woods United Methodist Church.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Eva Moulder; siblings, Grant Moulder, Herbert Moulder, and Inez George; and son, Greg Weisz. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her husband of 68 years, Delmer; daughter, Lori (Dave) Gooch; grandchildren Allison (Shawn) Marx; great-grandchildren (Wesley and Hannah Marx); and many extended family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Wanda's life will be held at Platte Woods United Methodist Church on Monday February 12th at 11:00am. Burial will be held at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Platte Woods United Methodist Church -Benevolence Fund.
