Waltraud "Traudl" F. Rickart, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on November 10, 1952, Traudl's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her profession and her profound love for her family.
Traudl's journey began in Germany, where she attended nursing school, laying the foundation for what would become a fulfilling career. She brought her compassionate spirit to the Kansas City and Liberty area in Missouri, where she worked tirelessly at various doctors' offices. Known for her heartfelt interactions with patients, she embodied the very essence of what it meant to care for others. Her warm smile and gentle touch provided comfort to many during their most vulnerable moments.
Beyond her distinguished career, Traudl was a simple and easygoing soul who embraced life with open arms. She was a loving wife, a nurturing mom, and a doting grandma, forever cherishing the moments spent with her family. Her home was a sanctuary of love, laughter, and warmth, creating cherished memories that will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew her.

Traudl was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Klara Klein; as well as her son, Jason Rickart.
She is survived in love by her husband of nearly 51 years: Steve Rickart; loving daughter: Nicole (Jason) Fike; grandchildren: Caleb O'Dell, Triston Fike, Braden Fike, and Sierra Fike; brother: Kurt (Kathrin) Garz; sister: Ingrid West; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Humane Society.
