Vivian Howard

Vivian Stewart Howard, 92, of Kansas City, MO passed away on August 29, 2018.

She was born to William Robert and Lina (Walker) Stewart on April 28, 1926 in Kansas City, MO.

Through the years she had many hobbies and pastimes which included bowling, carpentry, gambling, reading, drawing, tending to her flowers and her love of animals, especially birds and dogs.

She was a beautiful and wonderful example of a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. The best example of someone who knows how to love unconditionally.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, Richard L. Howard; 11 siblings; grandson, Thomas E. Howard II; and great grandson, Jonathan Ratliff.

Vivian is survived by her 10 children; Judith (Peter) Pappas, Teresa (Greg) Gibson, Susan Michelakos, Richard L. Howard Jr., Thomas E. Howard, Denise (Frank) Pallas, Diana (Dan) Ballmer, Raymond (Kathy) Howard, John J. Howard, and Faith Hilton; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 7 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Simpson and Cleta Rinaldo.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31st from 6-8pm at Terrace Park Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held September 1st at 3pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on her behalf to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
