Virginia Mae Hines, 91, of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, died at Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, MO on Monday, September 4, 2017. She was born in Mayview, MO on October 18, 1925 to the late Peachy and Minnie Lizzie (Strader) Rhodes.
She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist church for 60 years, she was a talented quilter, and had an extensive Santa Clause collection and was “famous” for her Christmas candy.
Virginia will be missed by her daughter Judy (Steven) Ross, Kay (Jack) Herndon, daughter in-law Sue Hines, 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Charles J. Hines and Son Charles L. Hines.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10 AM. Friends may gather beginning at 9:30 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home’s Lakeside Chapel 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. She will be laid to rest, next to her husband, following the service at Terrace Park Cemetery.
