Virginia Fambrough

Virginia Fambrough, 94, passed away on February 24, 2023.

Virginia was born on November 16, 1928 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to John and Emma Green. As a young girl, her family moved to Louisiana where she grew up and graduated from Oak Grove High School.  While working at the local Duck-in, Virginia met Marion Fambrough. They were married on July 8, 1950 and celebrated 59 1/2 years of marriage. Virginia and Marion moved to the Kansas City area where they raised their two daughters. Virginia worked as an LPN in nursing homes and healthcare facilities for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and going to thrift stores and garage sales.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion; sons-in-law, Steven Duke and Dave Edwards, and ten siblings.

She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her daughters, Marion Faye Edwards and Johnnie Duke; grandchildren, Steven (Lori) Duke, Jennifer (Dewayne) Dill, Andrea (Paul) Khan and Amanda Sanchez; great grandchildren, Taylor, Zachary and Ryan Duke, Michael (Stephanie), Tiffany, and Christopher May, Jacob and Joshua Khan, Savannah Dowlen Edwards, Gabriel Edwards, Ali Gaspar, and Davianna Bell Edwards; great-great grandchildren, Alex Graves, Kaden Peoples and Kyan Moore.

A celebration of life will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Wednesday, March 1st, with visitation beginning at 12pm, funeral service at 1pm, and graveside following.
