Virginia Calhoun

Virginia Lou "Ginny" Calhoun, 81, of Gladstone, MO passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 21, 2013. Ginny, daughter of Frank and Lucile (Markt) Foley, was born August 2nd, 1932 in Forest City, MO. She graduated from Gallatin, MO High School in 1951, and was married to Bill Calhoun on April 13, 1951. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, son, Danny and wife Vicki, daughter, Cheryl Wheeler and husband Ronnie, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Patti Kells, Jo Ellen Campbell and husband Dale, and many nieces and nephews. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents and brother in law, Chuck Kells. She was a beautician for 31 years before retiring in 1991. She loved spending time with their children and grandchildren, traveling, bowling, gardening, her work, and especially her Sunday drives with Bill. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to NorthCare Hospice for  the constant and loving care provided to Ginny during her illness. Service will be 2pm, Friday, December 27th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior. Entombment will follow the service in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to NorthCare Hospice. Ginny was greatly loved by family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. Her infectious laughter and beautiful smile will always be remembered.
