Vincent Thomas 'Boats' Walsh, 82, of Kansas City, Mo passed away from this life March 21, 2011. Memorial services are 10:00 am Thursday March 24th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St, Kansas City, Mo. Visitation is 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at the chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to St Jude Children's Hospital.Vince was born April 3, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, the youngest child of John J. and Amy (Mevel) Walsh. At age 17, Vince enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and in 1958 joined the Air Force to attend Jet Engine School. Upon his discharge from military service in 1965, Vince and his family moved to Kansas City where he worked until his retirement in 1986. Survivors include his wife, Marie, daughter, Cheryl, son, Glenn and wife, Caroline, grandsons, Stephen, Samuel, brother, Edward, and several nieces and nephews.
