Vernon Wilbur

VERNON EUGENE WILBUR, 79, of Kansas City, MO passed away Oct. 18, 2013. His funeral service will be 2pm, Wednesday, Oct. 23 with visitation one hour prior at Mount Moriah Terrace Park- Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Song Orphans Home of India, C/O New Song Community Church, 1127 Grant Road, East Wenatchee, WA 98802. Vernon liked watching NASCAR. Two of Vernon's favorite drivers were Bill Elliot and Carl Edwards. He also enjoyed riding his mototrcycles in his younger years. He started at Fauletless/Bonami at the age of 16 and with his hardwork and dedication he retired after 50 years of service in 1999 as their plant manager. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling by motorhome. He was a family man, who took pleasure in spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Terry Eugene Wilbur. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wilbur; son, Timothy Wilbur and wife, Shirley; stepdaughter, Terry Jones; daughter-in-law, Debbie Wilbur; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  Condolences may be left at www.mountmoriahterracepark.com
