Treva Bailey

Treva Bailey, 97, passed away on Aug. 8, 2019. Funeral services will  be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home on Tues. Aug. 13th at 11am, visitation at 10am.

Treva Florence (Fearnside) Bailey was born October 28, 1921 in Boone County, Arkansas near Harrison. Her parents were Clarendon and Esther (Klepper) Roberts. Treva graduated from high school in the Harrison, Arkansas area in 1937. She attended Arkansas Tech for 2 years.

In 1941 she married to Walter Floyd Fearnside. They moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1942. They were married 46 years when Walter passed away.   In 1988, Treva married James Alva Bailey who has also preceded her in death.

Treva was employed at Montgomery Ward Credit Office and retired in 1984.

Treva became a member of Linden Baptist Church, Gladstone, Missouri in 1954, where she served in many positions, General Sunday School Secretary and Church Historian for over 20 years. She was also involved in the mission activities of the church.

Treva is survived by son, John and Pat Fearnside Norman, Oklahoma, daughter Jeanne and Bob Smith Nevada, Texas, and daughter Michelle and David Kelso, Excelsior Springs, Missouri; son James and Arlene Bailey, Papilion, Nebraska;  Seven grandchildren: Leslie Boe, Jeff and Michelle Bailey, Brian and Jennifer Smith; Amy and Clifton Touchstone, Emily and Chris Bradley, Kathey and Kenny Clevenger, and Christie Kelso; ten  great grandchildren: Avery Smith; Grace, Cade, Luke, and Maren Touchstone; Dorothy and Benjamin Bradley; Nickolas and Morgan Clevenger; Kelsey Clevenger, Liam Boe; and one great-great granddaughter, Hayden Clevenger.

Treva was proceeded in death by her parents, her husbands Walter and James; brother Harold Roberts and son Don Bailey
