Todd Salmon

Todd Michael Salmon, 48, of Kansas City, passed away August 20, 2021.  A memorial service will be held at 3pm Friday, August 27, at Terrace Park Funeral Home with inurnment at Terrace Park Cemetery.  A reception will follow from 4-7pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home or mailed to the funeral home, payable to the family, toward a fund for Todd’s children, or at https://www.facebook.com/donate/377511507242531/?fundraiser_source=external_url

Todd was born on September 3, 1972, in Kansas City, Missouri to Tom and Connie (Ziller) Salmon.  He was raised in the Northland where he made many friends growing up together playing football, baseball, and basketball.  He was a 1991 graduate of Oak Park High School.  While at a high school dance, Todd initially met Rachel Brinton, they would reconnect years later, become best friends, fall in love and eventually marry on March 24, 2007. Todd and Rachel‘s admiration and devotion to one another would create the foundation for the family they have built today. Todd loved his wife Rachel and his three boys very much, they were his life and his heart, as he was their rock and number one guy. Todd found great joy in spending time watching his boys in all of their sporting events and activities.

Todd was currently employed at Ford Motor Co. He had a knack for building things and knew how to fix just about anything.  He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Chiefs, Royals, and Mizzou Tigers, and was known for hosting many parties at his home, especially during March Madness; he loved entertaining, cooking and smoking meat for his guests.  His outgoing personality and ever-present smile will be missed by all who knew him.

Todd is survived by his wife, Rachel; his three sons:  Joshua, Preston, and Kaleb; his parents, Tom and Connie Salmon; his sister, Christie Pack (Mitch); his brothers, T. J. Salmon (Carol) and Clay Salmon (Ben Aken); his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Pat Brinton; his sister-in-law, Stacy Wood (Lane Hauschild); his niece and nephew, Elizabeth and Thomas Salmon; and nieces Sara and Morgan Wood.
