Timothy Shields

April 19, 1953 — February 22, 2015

Timothy John Shields, 61, Cameron, MO, passed away peacefully February 22, 2015 at NKC Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
He was born in St. Joseph Missouri to Robert and Patricia (Adams) Shields. The family later moved to Kansas City, MO, where Tim attended De La Salle Christian Brothers High School until its closure at the end of his junior year. He then attended and graduated from Southwest High.
Tim followed in the footsteps of his father and worked for Southwestern Bell/AT&T. He worked for 39 years as a Lineman, a Cable Splicer, and then as a dedicated Construction Crew Manager. During these years Tim made many friends that continued throughout his life.
After retiring from AT&T, he followed his passions and along with Dawn was an active member of the Blacksmith Association of Missouri and Artist Blacksmith Association of North America. Together they forged many beautiful works of art.  They also have an incredible woodworking shop and lovingly built many beautiful and functional pieces for their family and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Robert P Shields, Iola, KS, and his sister, Linda Shields Walter, Iola, KS. Tim is survived by the love of his life, Dawn Bishop of the home, his mother Patricia L. Shields, His son Josh Shields (Stacey), and daughter Heather Faubion (Jeffrey), stepdaughter, Tricia Nelson, stepson, Craig Bammes (Linda), granddaughter Ella Shields, step granddaughter, Autumn Bammes, step grandsons, Neikko Dallas, Jaden Nelson, Skyler Bammes.
His sisters Mary Weatherman (Neal) and Barbara Andrews (Tim), and his brothers Michael Shields (Denise), John Shields, Richard Shields (Kim), Robert Shields (Roxy) and 18 nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6pm-8pm Thurs 2/26 at Terrace Park Funeral Home (169 Hwy and Shoal Creek Pkwy)
Celebration of Life Services:  10am Friday 2/27 at Terrace Park Funeral Home
