Thomas Steadman Jr.

April 4, 1934 — September 19, 2015

Thomas (Tom) Wm. Steadman Jr. 81, passed away September 19, 2015.  He was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Janice (Reichenecker).  He was born April 4th, 1934, in Kansas City, MO to the late Thomas Wm. Steadman Sr. and Edna Mae (Miller) Steadman.  He attended First Christian Church of North Kansas City, MO and East High School, Kansas City, MO.  He also attended Rockhurst College (University).  In 1954 he joined the United States Army and served until 1962.  He retired from Black and Decker, Inc. and Montgomery Ward, Inc.  He was a member of East Gate Masonic Lodge.   The northland community benefited from his 18 years as a member of the Park Hill School District School Board where he was instrumental in providing the groundwork for one of the State of Missouri’s top school districts.  Tom is survived by his three children and their spouses, Wm. Shawn (Megan) Steadman of St. Louis, MO,; Zoe Beth (Doyle) Dunn of Kansas City, MO; and Timothy Shane (Andrea) Steadman of Kansas City, MO.  He had six grandchildren: Kayla Marie (Steadman), Stewart John Dunn, Nathan Michael Dunn, Macie Renee (Steadman), Wm. Quinn Steadman and Graham Stirling Steadman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, evening September 23rd 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 N.W. 108th St KCMO 64155. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2015 at the First Christian Church of North Kansas City, 2018 Gentry at 10:30 AM. An internment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery 10507 Holmes Road KCMO 64131.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tom Steadman Scholarship Fund at the Park Hill Education Foundation, 7703 NW Barry Road, Kansas City, MO 64153, or by electronic means via the website: parkhillfoundation.org. or the First Christian Church of North Kansas City.  On line condolences may be left at TerraceParkFuneral.com.
