Thomas Parr

Thomas A. Parr, 90 of Kansas City, MO died on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at North Kansas City Hospital. He was born March 19, 1926 in Faucett, Missouri to the late A.D. and Frances (Stanton) Parr.
Tom proudly served in the Army-Air Corps; he worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for 40 years where he was a NARV member. He was a 50 year member, 32 degree and past Worshipful Master Mason of Lodge 649. He was a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite Temple and Ararat Shrine. He was a member of American Legion Post 626, and a 50 year member of Bethel United Church of Christ.
He is the loving father of Thomas (Yvonne) S. Parr; their children, Stephen and, Sarah; the late Dennis Parr and his children, Lauren and Christine. Cherished great-grandfather of Thomas Joseph and Emma Madison; dear brother of, Barbara Houghton a beloved uncle, cousin and, friend to many.
In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his wives Jewell Parr and Wilma Clifton-Parr.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 9 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Bethel United Church of Christ 4900 NE Parvin Rd., Kansas City, MO 64117. Interment with military honors will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church.
