Thomas C. King, 63, of Kansas City, died at North Kansas City Hospital on Sunday, December 13, 2015. He was born September 26, 1952 in Kansas City, KS to the late Charles and Hazel Pepperdine King.
He retired from the Ford plant after 30 years of service. He was a huge Kansas City Chief’s fan, he enjoyed the Royals, cooking—especially using his smoker, eating, bowling, darts, pool and golf; he had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.
He was the loving husband of Pamela Yarber-King, dear dad of Scott King, Todd (Jana) Hackathorn and Jesse King. Cherished grandpa of Skiler, Justice and Jillian; dear brother of Carol (Bob) Montgomery. He was a dear son-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He will also be missed by his beloved pets, Missy, Sophie, Bailey and Chewey.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 12 PM until time of service at 2 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Private inurnment will be at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society, American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association in Thomas’ memory.
