Thelma Louise (Routon) Cluck, 85, of Gladstone, MO went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2023.
Thelma was born on November 18, 1937, in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa to parents, Ramos and Edith Opal (Lightfoot) Routon of Hale Missouri. The majority of her fathers family worked on the Missouri River as steamboat captains and delivering seasonal river barges of supplies for building dams and bridges, which led her family to Troy, Kansas where she met the love of her life, Alva "Bud" Cluck Jr.. After a brief courtship the two were married on June 14,1953 and were blessed with three daughters.
Bud and Thelma relocated to the Kansas City, area in the early 60's, where they continued raising their girls and making many lifelong friends. While Bud worked as a machinist, Thelma spent many years as a homemaker, but enjoyed selling for various companies on the side, like Amway and Avon. Her spare time was spent with her family. When Thelma and Bud were younger, they enjoyed traveling by motorcycle all over the United States. In their later years, they swapped the motorcycle for a Motorhome and continued their love of traveling to Bluegrass music festivals to meet up with their friends to Jam - where Thelma played the banjo and Bud played the fiddle and guitar. He and Thelma have been proud charter members of the HABOT (Heart of America Bluegrass and Old Time Music) Club since the 1980’s. They were also proud members of the REACT CB radio Club.
