TERRY L. MAHANKE
Terry Mahanke, 57 of Kansas City, MO passed away on August 20, 2015. He was born March 27, 1958 in Blair, Nebraska to Thomas E. and Genevieve (Obrecht) Mahanke. Terry served his country in the United States Army for 4 years. For over 20 years, he owned his own finish trim carpentering business. In his spare time, Terry enjoyed the finer things in life, like spending time with his family, fishing and singing karaoke. He loved to watch NASCAR, the Royals and the Chiefs and play his golden tee golf game. Mushroom hunting and keeping his truck detailed were other ways he spent his time. And leading the rough life he did with having 4 girls, his man cave was often occupied by him and his buddies.
Terry is preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. Mahanke and brother, Ed Mahanke. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 32 years, Debbie Mahanke, 4 daughters, Megan Finney and husband Nathan, Ashley Elder and Husband Alex, Allison Mahanke, Melissa Mahanke, 1 granddaughter, Lily Finney, and his faithful dog, Jack. Those also surviving include his mother, Genny Mahanke, 2 brothers, Ted Mahanke and Tommy Mahanke, numerous nieces and nephews and too many friends to count.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset funeral expenses.
