Tehra Pratt

Tehra Michelle Pratt, 44, Smithville, passed away March 7, 2020 at KU Medical Center.  Visitation will be from 10am-12pm on Friday, March 13, with a memorial service to follow at 12pm, all at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th Street, KCMO.  A reception will be held at the Smithville Legion Hall following the services.

Tehra was born on December 28, 1975 in North Kansas City, Missouri to Edward Michael and Kathryn Jean (Allen) Hall.  A lifelong Northland resident, Tehra was a graduate of Oak Park High School and Northwest Missouri State University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis on Child and Family Studies.  Tehra married Troy A. Pratt on May 13, 2000.  She had been employed as HR manager for Priority Care Pediatrics – a place she loved, and where she made many friends who became more like family.

Tehra was the quintessential “Baseball Mom.”  Her baseball family was a huge part of her life, as were her many neighbors and countless friends.  She enjoyed music, going to concerts, shopping, loved her dogs, and was an avid KC Chiefs fan.

Tehra was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Hall and a cousin, Chris Clark.  She is survived by her husband, Troy Pratt; two sons, Carter and Ayden Pratt; her father, Mike Hall; her sister, Shauna Hall; a nephew, Conner Tingler, a niece, Marykate Grimaldi; an aunt, Cindy Burns; two cousins, Kelly and Brian and their families; and her two dogs, Lincoln and Layla.

Tehra was genuine, patient, kind, and loving – and she was real.  She was most proud of being the best wife and mother possible; she was always a mom first!  She will be greatly missed.
