GENE T HULL

Gene Tunny Hull, 84, of Gladstone, Mo passed to spirit on November 16, 2011. Funeral services are 10:00 am Monday November 21st at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, with visitation preceding services 9:00 - 10:00 am. Entombment in Mount Moriah Terrace  Park Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Lukes Health System Hospice.Gene was born in Kansas City, Mo on September 22, 1927. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17 years of age after his brother, Delmar was killed in action at Guadalcanal. He served honorably in the Pacific aboard the USS Rodman and the USS Yosemite. Following military service in World War II he went to work for General Electric company  where he worked for 37 years, retiring in 1983. He was married to Anna Lee Isbell for 57 years, who preceded him in death in 2004. Survivors include his daughter, Connie Hull, sons, Charles Hull, and wife, Linda Van Dell, John Hull, and wife, Karen Hull, 5 grandchildren, Charles Hull, and wife, Becky, John J. Hull, and wife, Gina, Chris Van Dell, and wife, Heidi, James Hull, and wife, Amy, Ryan Hull, and wife, Angela, and 6 great grandchildren.
