Stanley Neher, 59, died August 8, 2012, with his family by his side in Kansas City, Mo., following a valiant struggle against cancer. Born March 1, 1953, in Springfield, Mo., he graduated from Mountain Grove High School before moving to Kansas City, Mo., attending UMKC School of Pharmacy. The proud owner and operator of Robert's Prescriptions in North Kansas City, Mo. for more than 20 years, he was active in both civic and professional organizations, serving in leadership roles for various pharmacy organizations, always promoting the quality of care provided to communities by independent pharmacies.Though a consummate professional, his greatest passion was his family. He is survived by his mother, Angilee Neher, his sister and her husband, Karen and Dan Virtue, his wife of almost 38 years, Jewel Neher, their three daughters and spouses, Michelle and Roger Barnhart, Erin and Daniel Berkland, Kristin and Ryan Ebberts, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Galen Roy Neher.Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday August 11th at Antioch Bible Baptist Church, 800 NE 72nd Street. Visitation will precede services from 9:30 - 11:30 am at the church. Burial in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice or Antioch Bible Baptist Church.
