Shirley Miller

Shirley Ruth Miller, daughter of the late Clayton & Carletta (Doubet) Witham, was born on September 17, 1928 and departed this life on September 7, 2018. At the time of her passing she was 89 years of age.

Shirley loved the holidays, especially Christmas. She enjoyed making big meals for her family and having her family together.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Carl Miller; and her late husband of nearly eight years, Charley Layton; and one brother, Howard Stewart. She is survived by three sons, Andy Miller, Charles “Butch” Miller and Donald Miller; one daughter, Diane Haver; one sister, Beverly Layton; eight grandchildren, Sherri Sproul, Nick Mayabb, Steven Miller, Jason Miller, Kyle Miller, Wes Miller, Nikki Cainand Cody Arr; and eleven great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many friends, nieces and nephews who will all truly miss her.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Terrace Park Funeral Home with Michael Porter officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Cain, Cody Arr, Nick Mayabb, Kyle Miller, Steven Miller and Jason Miller. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Terrace Park Cemetery.
