Scottie was born on December 23, 1938. He was an only child born to K.O. Shafar and Clara “Nadine” Shafar in Stet, Missouri. He loved spending time with his family; he and his wife Marcella loved spending time between their homes in Kansas City, MO, Lake City, CO and Hudson, FL.
