Sarah Chastain

Sarah Ann Chastain was born April 13, 1958 in Galesburg, Illinois. After battling cancer, Sarah departed this world on April 25, 2021. Sarah was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Friend. Sarah lived with God in her Heart and the Holy Spirit by her side. She was someone you could talk to and receive good advice. Sarah was a strong woman that wouldn’t allow life’s challenges to get her down. Sarah always had a smile on her face and a comforting hand.

Sarah is preceded in death by her sons Jeremy Kitchen and Justin Keefer, her parents Fred and Joyce Palmgren, her maternal grandparents Cornelius and Clara Dexter, her paternal grandmother Dorothy Carroll and her niece Krista Dawn Palmgren.

Sarah is survived by her husband David Chastain and her son, Derrick Keefer. Also surviving Sarah are her younger sister Mary Carmichael and her husband Bill as well as her older brother David Palmgren and his wife Sandy, Sarah’s daughter-in-law Destiny Burn’s and her husband Cole Burns, her mother-in-law Carol Ann Chastain and her brother-in-laws Richard E. Chastain and James M. Chastain. Her Grandchildren; Andrew Kitchen, Preston Kitchen, Blake Kitchen, Kelsie Burns, Ryan Keefer, Koreanna Wilson and Jason Burt will all miss having Sarah in their lives. Sarah is also survived by her nieces; Nicole Palmgren-Webb, her husband Nick Webb and their children, Noelle and Averly Webb, Heather Palmgren and her son Ethan Zander, Malaina Paige, her husband Caleb Paige and their children, Dylan Alexander, Caden Paige and Jemma Paige and her nephew Billy Carmichael all survive Sarah.

Services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th Street, KCMO, on Monday May 3, 2021. Visitation will be1:00-2:00pm, with funeral service at 2:00pm followed by the graveside service.
