Sara Lee Gant
Sara Lee Gant was quietly received into the hands of God on August 25, 2014. She was born on November 10, 1951, in Alexandria VA. She was predeceased by her son, Jason Lee Gant and is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jeffrey W. Gant; her parents, Sara M. Moench and William L. Moench; brothers, Bill Moench, Rob Moench and David Moench; nieces Molly Moench Bernhard, Amanda Moench Bray, Meredith Moench, Mallory Moench; nephew Andrew Moench; uncle Ernest Moench; cousins Debbie Moench and Jay Moench; mother-in-law Gwynlyn Gant; sister-in-laws Rebecca Gant Bryden and Deborah Gant Teague.
She received an AA degree from Stephens College in Columbia, MO, where she met her future husband. After her marriage to Jeff, she moved to the Kansas City area and remained there since. She met and created many friendships over the years in Kansas City. She was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, a loving daughter, an avid book reader and a cat lover. She is loved and will be missed by all.
A celebraton of her life and visitation with the family will be held at Mount Moriah Terrace Park on Sept. 19 at 10 AM with a service at 10:45. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy, celebrations of her life and memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Humane Society, or to a charity of your choice.
