Sandra R. Rowe, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully departed this world on February 2, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on April 2, 1953, her life was a beautiful journey marked by love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Sandy's indelible spirit will be especially remembered through the heartfelt connections she nurtured with her family. Known affectionately as "Nena," she brought a sense of joy and warmth to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her unwavering support was felt at every one of their sporting events, where her enthusiasm and encouragement made her presence a beloved pillar of strength alongside her husband, Walter. Their road trips together were adventures filled with discovery, laughter, and an unbreakable bond that only grew stronger over the years.
Beyond her role as a matriarch, Sandra found solace in quieter pastimes. She was an avid reader and loved piecing together puzzles, activities that reflected her patient and thoughtful nature. Her playful side shine through when she indulged in games on her phone, always ready to share a moment of fun and connection, whether with family or friends.
A loving and supportive figure, Sandra left an imprint of kindness on everyone she met. Her legacy lives on through the hearts of her cherished family members, who will carry her love with them always.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her remarkable life during a visitation on February 14, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM. Both events will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 801 NW 108th St, Kansas City, MO 64155.
As we hold onto the treasured memories of Sandra R. Rowe, we remember not only a beloved family member but also a beautiful soul whose love will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Pettijohn.
She is survived in love by her husband of 28 years, Walter Rowe; daughters: Tammy (Roberto) Palao, and Janese (Benny) Hoy; son: Rickey Nickell, Jr.; brothers: Jim and Ted Pettijohn; sisters: Pam Summers, and Sherry Jefferson; as well as 12 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren
