Sandra Kay Long, 84, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born January 23, 1940, in Rensselaer, Indiana to the late Everett and Bethyl “Pat” McFadden.
Kay graduated from Rensselaer High School in 1958. She married Hugh Long on December 20, 1958, and remained happily married for 44 years, until Hugh’s death in 2003. She was a Real Estate Administrative Professional, working for several brokerages over the years. She enjoyed her time with family & friends, bowling, assisting with activities at church, trips to the lake house and the “occasional” visit to the local casino.
She is survived by her children: Ronald Mark (Lisa) Long, Dale Allen (Dawn) Long, Bryan Wayne (Jai Vaughn) Long; grandchildren: Kayla Long, Holly Long, Montana Gordon, Austin Long and Hunter Long. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Starbuck and other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Sunday March 17, 2024, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church; 9555 N Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, MO 64155 at 3 PM. The family will gather with guests following the service at the church. If you so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to.
