Samuel J. Clements, 87, of Kansas City, MO went to be with the Lord, July 3, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospice House. He was born January 9, 1932, in Berry, Alabama to the late Sidney and Essie (Kuykendall) Clements.
Samuel, grew up in Alabama, and remained a lifelong Crimson Tide fan. He worked for Ford for 32 years in the research garage. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean war. He and his wife Norma volunteered in many ways at Metro Baptist church over the years.
He is survived by his son, Samuel K. (Lola) Clements; daughter, Karla (Robert) Norton; grandson, William Clements and his granddaughters, Charlene Clements and Julia Norton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Samuel is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Clements; and all 8 of his siblings.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 10-11 AM at Antioch Bible Baptist Church 800 NE 72nd St, Gladstone, MO 64118. Funeral service will be at the church at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City Multiple Myeloma Family Support Group http://kc.support.myeloma.org/how-you-can-help.
