Ruth Van Fosson, 92, of Kansas City, MO passed away December 2, 2016. She was born October 16, 1924 in Clarinda, IA to the late Martin and Elisabeth (Hollmeyer) Wagoner. Ruth lived in the Kansas City area for the last 60 years. She was a charter member of the King of King’s Lutheran Church and spent over 20 years as a tax preparer for H & R Block.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Donald L. Van Fosson, her baby girl, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Those left to cherish her memory include her 2 children, Larry and wife Donna Van Fosson, Linda and husband Larry Andrews; 5 grandchildren, Rachel, Melissa, Sara, Max and Jennifer; 6 great-grandchildren, Kayden, Landon, Bailey, Karli, Grace and Brayden; 2 sisters, Margaret Wagoner and Dorthea (Lyle) Eden; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Wagoner and Shirleann Wagoner and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 4-6 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th Street (169 HWY and Shoal Creek Pkwy) Kansas City, MO. Services will be 10 AM, Monday, December 5, 2016 at King of King’s Lutheran Church, 1701 NE 96th Street, Kansas City, MO 64155. Burial in Maple Hills Cemetery, College Springs, IA at 2:30 PM Monday, December 5. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the King of King’s Tuition Fund or the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be left at TerraceParkFH.com.
