Ruby Itschner

RUBY FERN STULL ITSCHNER
Ruby Fern Stull Itschner, 91 years of age, made her heavenly transition from the Parkview Health Care Facility in Bolivar, MO on February 17, 2016. Ruby was born on March 14, 1924 to Ethel and Wiley Stull in Yarrow, MO. Upon completion of high school, Ruby attended two summer terms at Kirksville Teachers College, Kirksville, MO and then taught for three years for the Atlanta Missouri Area Rural Schools.
R. Whited Realty in Macon, MO later employed her. In 1946, Ruby married Orville Glenn Itschner and moved to Mountain View, California where Glenn was stationed with the U.S. Navy at NAS Moffett Field. While living in California, Ruby was employed at the Wind Tunnel Test Station at the Ames Research Center located at Moffett Field, which later would become part of the National Aeronautics and Space Station (NASA). The Itschner’s moved to Rogers, Arkansas in 1947 and then in 1950 moved to Des Moines, Iowa where Ruby was employed by State Farm Insurance Company and a minor baseball league called Three-I Baseball League (Illinois-Indiana-Iowa). A year later, (1951) they would move to Gladstone, MO where she would work for Staley Mills. In 1984, the Itschner’s moved to Flemington, MO to enjoy their lakeside view of the Pomme de Terre Lake. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Ruby is survived by her husband, Orville Glenn Itschner, many nieces and nephews and one great-great-great nephew.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with interment at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
