Roy T. Cleveland, son of the late Marion Cleveland and Viola (Duncan) Bogard, was born on September 14, 1926, in Hensley, Arkansas and departed this life on February 16, 2019, in Kansas City, Missouri. At the time of his passing he was 92 years of age.
As a young man Roy, was a passionate stock car driver where he raced at the Riverside Raceway. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, enjoyed country music, was a diesel mechanic and was a HAM Radio operator where he would reach the entire world from his upper level bedroom. He was also a longtime member of Winnwood Baptist Church.
Roy was preceded in passing by his parents, wife, Margaret; two step-daughters, a step-son, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by a step-daughter; Geraldine Onwiler, daughter-in-law; Bette Fausett, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, many extended family, friends and his companion for the last several years Pounette Fleming; all who will truly miss him.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 23, 2019, form 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home 801 NW 108th St. Kansas City, MO. Interment in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VFW.
