Rosene Eklund

Rosene Eklund, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 12, 2018.

Lillian Rosene was born to William "Arlo" and Rose "Blanche" (Howard) Adams on August 25, 1938. She spent her early years growing up on her father's farm in Lyndon, Kansas.

On June 11,1961 she married her high school sweetheart, David Eklund. David and Rosene would move to Kansas City soon after where they would raise their two sons. Rosene was a stay at home mom until her boys were old enough to attend school, where she began her 26 years career as an administrative assistant with the Park Hill school district. She loved attending her sons many sporting events and continued this tradition when her grandchildren started playing sports. She enjoyed watching all types of sporting events, especially the Royals and Chiefs. She was a long time member of Liberty United Methodist Church.

Rosene is preceded in death by her husband, David; and twin sister, Irene Hopkins.

She is survived by her sons, Steve (Jenny) and Troy (Teri) Eklund; her grandchildren, Madison, Mackenzie, Reid, and Maci Beth; and her sister, Marsa Behner.

A memorial service will be held on October 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Terrace Park Funeral Home, with burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Liberty United Methodist Church.
