Rosemary Norton

Rosemary Norton, 80, of Gladstone, MO passed away January 30, 2017. She was born April 23, 1936 in Peoria, IL to the late Bill and Anna (Bauer) Thornton.
Rosemary attended the Peoria schools and graduated from Bradley University where she was a Sigma Kappa. She met Willard Norton and on Dec. 28, 1958 they were married. Together they spent over 60 years before his passing. Church and family filled Rosemary’s life. She was a longtime member of Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church as well as the JC Chapter of P.E.O.
Rosemary is also preceded in death by her daughter, Alissa Hermes.
Survivors include her son, Craig S. Norton (Sarah); son-in-law, Kent Hermes; grandchildren, Andrew and Alex Norton, Ellie and Emily Hermes; sister, Lillian Harris, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 8029 N. Oak Trafficway, KCMO 64118. Services will be 10 AM Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at the church. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church Education Fund or Family Fest Ministries, 140 W. 98th St., Suite 206, Bloomington, MN 55420.
