Rose Parks

Rose "Rosie" was born on February 1, 1945 in Hapcheon-gun, South Korea and departed this life on March 4, 2020 at her home in Kansas City, Missouri.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many. Rosie was a dedicated Christian that loved the Lord and prayed for everyone everyday. She was a hard working, self employed contractor at the Kansas City International Airport for over 40 years. She had a passion for cooking and believed in feeding everybody. When she retired, she loved working in her garden, planting flowers, food, and landscaping. Rosie would share all the fruits of her labor with family, friends, and strangers... and continued to feed any and everybody. She was a very generous, kind and loving person that would share anything she could give.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 52 years, Bobby Parks: one son, Terry Parks; three daughters, Lisa Parks, Suzan Horner, and Suzee Jacobs; five grandchildren, Garret Parks, Evan Jacobs, Jack Jacobs, Alyssa Horner and Katie Horner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10th at 2:00p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:00p.m. burial following. Floral arrangements are welcome or contributions may be made to the St. Luke's Hospital Primary Stroke Center (https://www.stlukeshospital.com/donate/)
