ROSALIE CHRISTINE (KILP) PENDERY
Rosalie Pendery passed away April 7, 2016 in Bentonville, Arkansas at the age of 86. She was born December 23, 1929, to Raymond Gerald Kilp and Edith Fay (Loyd) Kilp in Burlington Junction, Missouri.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gerald Kilp.
Rosalie is survived by her husband, Walter Pendery, of Bella Vista, AR; sister-in-law, Cheryl Kilp, of Bethel Park, PA; sisters, Alma (Margie) Landes, of Kansas City, MO and Marilyn (Milt) Holl, of Green Bay, Wisconsin; brothers, James (Mary Jo) Kilp, of Kansas City, MO, Robert (Judy) Kilp, of Harrisonville, MO and Stephen George (Debbie) Kilp, of Mesquite, Nevada; many nieces and nephews.
Rosalie graduated from Miami Missouri High School in 1947. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri Valley College in 1951. She then completed her Master of Science from Central Missouri University in 1970. Rosalie married Walter Pendery May 27, 1955. She taught science in Carrollton, MO and in Park Hill High School, but her last 11 years she taught physical education. Rosalie retired in 1986. She loved to paint, sing, play the organ, cook, sew and garden, but what she loved most was to golf. One of Rosalie’s greatest accomplishments was achieving a “hole-in-one” in 1999. She was a member of Bella Vista Women’s 18-hole Golf Association and the Tuesday Happy Hackers Golf Club.
Visitation will be Monday, April. 11, 2016 from 9:30-10 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Services will follow at 10:00 AM with burial in Terrace Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at TerraceParkFuneral.com.
