Ronald J. Meyer, 88, of Gladstone, MO, died at the NorthCare Hospice House on July 2, 2019. He was born November 22, 1930, in Stanberry, MO to the late Joseph and Leora (Wonderly) Meyer.
Ron was a hard-working farm boy and talented carpenter. He built homes in the Northland for many years before working for the North Kansas City School District. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards with friends, going to garage sales, woodworking and tinkering in the garage and shed.
He is survived by his wife Doris (Stuart) Meyer; his daughters; Janet (Andrew Simpson) Rothwell, Sandy (Gary) Carlberg and Tina (Dave) Harvey. Grandchildren Laura, Lisa, Taylor, Derek, Madison, Justin; great-grandchildren Damian, Logan, Will, Harper and Jaxon and many nieces, nephews and other extended family; all who were very special to him.
In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his sister Dolores Tobin, nephew Mike Tobin, foster sister Beth Moore and other family.
A memorial Gathering will be Friday, August 2, 2019 from 10-11 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the funeral mass beginning at 11 AM. Private inurnment in Resurrection Cemetery.
