Ronald Jay Lewis, 69, made his last sarcastic and likely wildly inappropriate comment on January 11, 2019. Ronald or "Wimpy", as he was affectionately referred to by friends, was born on September 25, 1949 to Ralph and Fern Lewis in Kansas City, MO. He attended St Charles Elementary and St. Pius High School. He worked at General Motors from 1976 until his retirement in 2003. School and work yielded many friends over the years, whom half a dozen or so of these folks might speak of him fondly if pressed. He was an avid sports fan. He also enjoyed his fantasy football league, music, drinking Sunkist soda pop and mailing birthday cards to his friends and loved ones. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his proudest accomplishment, a daughter, Tammera Nicole Lewis; his cherished grandchildren Audrey and Caleb Lehmann, their father Michael Lehmann; twin brother Ralph Lewis; sister Sandy Brown; special friend Alice “Brownie” Braunstetter; his niece, nephew, and great nieces and nephews; and the many friends and acquaintances he maintained over the years. Funeral services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home on Jan. 15th at 1:00 pm, w/ visitation beginning at 11:30 am, and burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
A special thank you to his friends at Oak Grove that took such wonderful care of him and Crossroads Hospice.
