Ronald Leroy Goens, Sr.

July 22, 1943 — March 10, 2024

Ronald Leroy Goens, Sr. was a man who lived his life with quiet strength and a kind heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Born in 1943, Ronald's passed away at home, on March 10, 2024. Those who knew Ronald will remember him as a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He was the kind of person who would go above and beyond for his loved ones and friends without ever expecting anything in return. His selfless nature left a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Ron had a vibrant personality that shone through in his favorite pastimes. Whether he was fishing at his beloved lake house on Truman Lake, participating in bowling leagues in his younger years, or showing off his skills in pool, cards, and poker, he always brought joy and camaraderie to those around him. His passion for classic cars led him to refurnish his Chevy Bel-Air, showcasing his meticulous attention to detail and love for all things vintage. He leaves behind cherished memories for his surviving family members: his children, grandchildren, and other relatives who adored him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Ron was preceded in death by his loving wife: Beverly; son: Ronald Goens, Jr.; his parents: Clarence and Josephine (Luger) Goens; and eight siblings.

He is survived by his son: John (Sherri) Goens; grandchildren: Tosha Goens, Katie (Spencer) Davidson, Kelsey Goens, and Kyle Goens; great grandchildren: Chloe, Madison, Dax, Luke, and Emma; many other family and friends including his favorite dog: Jimbo.

As Ronald always said, "I'll see ya when I see ya."
