Ronald Bond

Ronald Lee Bond, son of the late Harry & Velta (Robker) Bond, was born on August 5, 1935 and departed this life on August 11, 2019 surrounded by his family. At the time of his passing he was 84 years of age.

Ronnie was raised in Farley, Missouri and graduated from Platte City High School in 1953. He was united in marriage to Eva Hevalow on July 5, 1957. Together they raised two children in Kansas City. They loved to travel, spend time at the lake and have fun. Ronnie and Darlene easily made many lifelong friends through work, travels and all their adventures. He retired as an electrician from Armco Steel where he was infamous for his relentless teasing and pranking. Ronnie was a Mason and a member of the Pomme De Terre Shrine Club. Although from a town of 65 people, he couldn’t go anywhere without seeing someone he knew.

Ronnie was preceded in passing by his parents; his loving wife of 53 years, Eva D.; and his oldest granddaughter. He is survived by his two children, Denny (Liz) Bond and Terry (Matt) Rynard; two brothers, Eldon (Judy) Bond and Jerry (Marcia) Bond; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Ronnie leaves behind many close friends and family members who will all truly miss him.
