Ronald “Andy” Anderson, 79, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away, Thursday, August 31, 2017, at North Care Hospice, in North Kansas City, Missouri.  Ronald Anderson was born August 3, 1938, to Carl and Regina (Broeker) Anderson, in St. Charles, Missouri. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1956. Shortly after, he left for college in Rolla to be a Mechanical Engineer. On January 28, 1961, he married Carol McCoy at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles, MO. In May of the same year, the couple loaded up and moved to Maryland, when he joined the Army. In his free time Andy loved to travel and vacation with his family. After Andy retired from Honeywell, he enjoyed golfing and fishing. He will always be remembered as a loving and caring husband and dad. If he had a choice, it was to spend his time with the children and grandchildren, and let the adults do their thing.

Andy was preceded in death by both parents, a sister, Margaret Ehlman, and a sister-in-law, Marian McCoy.

He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, his son Jeff (Renata) Anderson, of Morton, IL, a daughter Victoria (Scott) Vitek, of Smithville, MO, five grandchildren; Amy(Ryan) Abraham, Aleta (Adam) Saeger, Mark Anderson, and Nathan and Ryan Vitek, a great grandson Elliott Saeger, his sister, Mary (Harry) Haberstock, and many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM with a Memorial Service immediately following at 10:30 AM at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1701 NE 96th St, Kansas City, MO 64155. Private burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery at a later time. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions go to north Care Hospice or the King of Kings Lutheran Church.
