Scott was born on May 3, 1946 in Sacramento, California and passed peacefully at home into the arms of God on October 07, 2023 from complications of Parkinson’s disease. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eileen and Lawrence Browning. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughters, Barbara and Jenniffer (Mitch); stepdaughter, Tricia (Michael); grandchildren, Ryan (Lauren) and Casey; his brother, Rodney (Sue); and many special and helpful nieces and nephews. Scott was proud to serve in the US Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968, serving in Viet Nam. He graduated from Sacramento State University in 1972. Working many years in finance, he retired from City Group in 2011. He was a strong believer in God and was a member of Vineyard Church at Arrowhead Trafficway since 2012. Scott had an entertaining sense of humor and quick wit. He was an avid reader, wrote poetry, liked gardening, caring for pets, and assisting those in need. He enjoyed watching football and playing golf, being #15 to join Staley Farms Golf Club when it opened. The family is very thankful for the doctors and nurses at the Linwood VA Hospital, Liberty Home Instead, Village on the Green neighbors, and many special friends.
