Robert Douglas Scott (Doug), 42, passed away August 17, 2012. Doug was born February 26, 2970 and lived all his life in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from St. Bernadette Grade school and O'Hara High School. He also graduated from UMKC. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild. As a young person he appeared in many national and local T.V. commercials. Doug had a starring role in the film "The Day After" and was given the best actor award for "Youth in Film". Making that movie was the most fun time of his life. When he was 12, he went to Los Angeles Star Search and won. He owned and operated a company brokering freight worldwide. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Scott and son, Austin. Survivors include his children, Alicia and Hunter; mother, Merilyn Scott; sisters, Patricia Costello and Mary Sheridan; brothers, Michael, Rodney, Jay and Willie Scott; many nieces and nephews. Visitation is 9-10 a.m. Monday, August 20 with Mass of Christian Burial beginning 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS. Burial is 12:30 p.m. at Mt.
