Robert Schneider

Robert Dale Schneider 76, died peacefully at his home January 19, 2013.  He was born February 8, 1936 in Sylvan Grove, KS to Harold and Matilda Schneider.  Bob attended high school in Salina, KS. He served his country in the US Navy from 1955 to 1957. He was employed by Hallmark Cards from 1958 to 1985. He also owned and operated Hilltop West Bar and Grill 1985 to 1990. Bob was an avid fisherman, loved landscaping and gardening – especially tomatoes. He was passionate about all aspects of football.  Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Ruth; daughter and son in law, Abbie and Rodney Smith; daughter and son in law Jody and Scott Walker;  Abbie and Jody's mother, Nancy; step son and daughter in law,  Jeff and Kristi Beckham; step daughter and son in law, Roxanne and Jim Robke; step daughter and son in law, Michelle and Von Beckham-Rivas; 3 grandsons and 7 grand-daughters; sister and brother in law, Lois and Dennis Adams; brother and sister in law Gerald and Marge Schneider, as well as many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.  Services will be held at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home Friday January 25, at 2:00. A Celebration of Life will be held at the home following the service until 6:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart Fund at New Mark Care Center. The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice and a very special thanks to New Mark Care Center.
