Robert Quackenbush

Robert “Brian” Quackenbush, 64, of Smithville, MO passed away peacefully at home on September 28, 2015.
Brian was born on April 7,1951 in Dallas, TX.  He graduated from North Kansas City High School and attended CMSU.  He married the love of his life, Sandy Vigliaturo, in 1976.  The newlyweds lived in Tulsa, OK, Omaha, NE, and Gladstone, MO before settling down in Smithville, MO.  Brian was a lifelong salesman who sold appliances, cars, clothing, boats, and real estate the last 18 years.  Brian was a master negotiator who enjoyed the art of the deal.
Brian grew up boating, fishing and skiing and raised his boys the same.  As a youngster, Brian was a swimmer with unbroken records on butterfly and backstroke.  He lived every day to the fullest and being an only child, considered his friends family.  He had over the top pride for his family and loved watching his two sons play sports throughout high school and college.  Brian enjoyed spending weekends boating at the lake with his family, eating a good meal and hanging out with friends.
Brian is survived by his wife, Sandy Quackenbush, two sons and daughter-in-law and two grandchildren, Rick Quackenbush, Ryan and Melissa Quackenbush, Walker and Kylee.  He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Gwen and Ronnie Quackenbush.
A Celebration of Life will be 4-7 pm Thursday October 1st, with a brief service at 6:30 pm at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 169 Hwy & Shoal Creek Pkwy.   Friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Brian's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Cancer Research, 3501 Berrywood Dr., Columbia, MO 65201. Online condolences may be sent to TerraceParkFuneral.com
